It was a beautiful day at the zoo.  Each year as the kids get older, the zoo gets better! I love seeing their little faces light up with excitement and hearing them pronounce the names of the animals.

It’s been such a long time since I posted.  The past few months have been difficult due to my illness. I was feeling uninspired and not motivated, but things are changing and I find myself picking up the camera more often.  I will try to post once a week from now on.

My hubby recently got an iphone and I have been stealing borrowing it to take pictures with the shake it photo app. It is a cool app that turns your pictures into polaroids. It is so much fun. I have been taking snap shots of everything! It is defintely a cool thing to use to get you back into the grove of things especially if you need inspiration. Who doesn’t love the look of polaroids?!

We spent this Saturday at the Ft. Worth Zoo. The kids had a blast! Of course I took my camera to take pictures of the animals. I will post those shots later this week. After our visit to the zoo, we hopped aboard a train ride thru Trinity Park. To our surprise, there were tons of people because it was Mayfest. We had no idea what Mayfest was, but it is a festival that is held each year. We saw several stages with bands, performers, dancers. We also saw kiddie rides, food and game stands. It was like a big o’ carnival.  The train stopped right smack in the middle of everything for a few minutes allowing passengers to get off. It gave us a chance to buy some popcorn and soda. I was a happy girl!

On February 11th we got up to a foot of snow.  The kids had so much fun building snowmen, throwing snowballs, and playing outside in the snow. Here’s just a few snapshots of that snowy beautiful day…
